Our primary goal in Neuroscience is to provide you with an understanding of the structure of the brain and how different neural systems are involved in the control of behavior. A second, more prosaic but no less important, aim of Neuroscience is to give you a foundation for your future training (especially in the neuropathology-neuropharmacology component of the “Systems Course” in Year 2, and in the neurology clerkship in your 4th year) and to prepare you for USMLE Step 1.
